Ambassador Pandora Briselden gave us a quick update after attending her second competition of the season.
“I have just completed my second event of the season and first pony trial of the season at Oasby.”
“We trekked up to Oasby on Friday morning so we would be there in good time. We managed to walk the course before putting the ponies to bed and having an early night.”
“The next morning, Bobby was on first and sadly as the dressage warm up was close to the cross country he got extremely tense and hot which resulted in an impressively bad score.”
“Then it was Owens turn and he warmed up beautifully, just loosing some rhythm in the test to score 33.8 which was just behind the leading scores.”
“I had a bit of disaster showjumping on both ponies which was a combination of first time on grass/nerves and rather keen ponies so lots of practise needed before Aldon next weekend!”
“Despite the showjumping the ponies both made light work of a very decent Novice cross country course and both finished with clears round a course that caused many problems. Bobby had just 6 time faults and Owen finished inside the time which pushed him up into 8th out of 50 starters which was very pleasing.”
“Next time out is Aldon and i hope we can pull it all together!”
