Horslyx Ambassador Katherine Cooksley is starting to get busy again with the winter season approaching! Read on to find out what she has been up to over the past few months…
“Things are starting to get busy again on the yard, with the next season rapidly approaching after a reasonably quiet August. I have had a few enforced rest days due to feeling under the weather, but I’m now picking back up ready to start the competition count down.”
“Our season kicks off on Saturday where Roh-Gold and I will be heading to Hartpury to do two tests with an aim of getting points to qualify for the 2015 Winter Para-Dressage Championships. Rohan’s going really well at the moment, he’s had a few well deserved days off and is being picked up ready to go and strut his stuff! After our competition on Saturday we’ll be heading to Vale View Equestrian Centre a week Sunday to do another Winter Qualifier, and two weeks tomorrow we’ll be off to Oldencraig for yet another. Practice makes perfect, and getting Rohan out as often as possible really helps to get him confident in different situations so that’s the plan, start the season off with a bang and get out a compete as often as possible. I’ll keep you all updated with the results from these rapidly approaching competitions. Rohan had a full pamper session yesterday with new dancing shoes fitted and a full massage ready to kick start the season.”
