We catch up with Horslyx Ambassador Cara and find out how her year has started…
“So far this year the horses have been going very well with some great results. I took two horse to the regional finals and managed to qualify for the Winter championships for the first time which I am thrilled about.”
“Detonator kept a a lid on his usual exuberance at BIshop Burton, gaining our highest placing so far at the regionals. He was 5th in the Elementry freestyle and then came 3rd in the Medium open, this now takes us to Hartpury in April, unfortunately he now can’t compete in the Petplan Area Festival finals as you cannot compete in both at the same level. I really can’t wait to compete in Hartpury’s big arena, I just hope Detonator will cope with the atmosphere. He has also now completed his qualification for the Medium open at the summer regionals and will be trying to qualify at Advanced medium.”
“Rhythmic Times preformed really well and stayed relaxed in a hotly contested Advanced Medium freestyle gaining an unexpected 10th place. He just has a couple more points to gain summer regional qualification and will also be going out at Advanced trying to gain our qualification for PSG.”
“I have also had my two youngsters out at their first competitions and both behaved incredibly well gaining four 2nds and a win between them, both taking it all in their stride. I hope to get them out show jumping by the end of the month, I hope they are just as good there as I will be very rusty having not show jumped for over a year. I’m busy on the yard and with lessons now everyone has come out of hibernation from the winter and is wanting to brush the cobwebs off for the spring events.”
“Now it has dried up I will be getting dates sorted for the unaffiliated dressage competitions we hold at Beckside Livery Stables which proved very popular last year. Wedding preparations are in full swing as is my diet! I’ve even started running to try and squeeze into my dress!!! The next month is going to be very busy and exciting, I can’t wait.”
